The Economics of Education

Public education - despite its many faults and inefficiencies, so many of us owe a great bulk of what we know to it. Yet it is all too clear that public schools are failing too many students. Now, award-winning economics professor Derek Neal is tackling the problem of how to incentivize educators and policymakers to stay true to their mission - educating and inspiring students.

This event brought CEF, Block 58, and Professor Neal together for an evening where we showed how economic research on the private sector can be used to address the logjams of misinformation and disincentives in publicly-funded education.
